Sports massage involves the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of the body's soft tissues, including muscles, ligaments and tendons.

For the athlete, sports massage aims to :

  • Focus on recovery from training
  • Identify and treat potential soft tissue problems
  • Assess the condition of the athlete's soft tissues through massage
  • Monitor progress and adapt training to reduce the risk of injuries and promote performance.

Benefits of Sports Massage :

  • Improves muscular function, performance and suppleness.
  • Restores mobility to injured or tight muscles
  • Speeds up the healing process
  • Assists in mental preparation for sporting participation
  • Aids in general relaxation for rehabilitation.

Who is it for?

Anyone can benefit from massage. You could be an athlete recovering from an injury, a student or an office worker with a routine involving a lot of computer work, causing  tension in the neck and back areas. Massage here would relieve the tension in these areas and therefore make working more comfortable.

Our massage therapist is a fully qualified MSMA accredited practitioner who will ensure that you receive an individually tailored, high quality massage. Depending on the type and timing of activity these benefits can be achieved for anyone.
